Geronimo Inns is one of the most exciting pub groups in the UK, with 28 sites in the London area. Founded in 1995 by Rupert Clevely and his wife Joanna, Geronimo has won the Evening Standard Pub of the Year award twice, and was also named as Pub Company of the Year at 2009's Publican Awards.

PING!: A TABLE TENNIS REVOLUTION

Ping! London is the brainwave of Colette Hiller of the Sing London arts group, who last summer placed 30 pianos around the capital for anyone to play, each with the notice “Play me, I’m yours”. This year, instead of pianos, 100 ping pong tables have been positioned around London’s landmarks, squares, shopping centres, estates, offices and train stations.<br /><br /><br /><br />Delivered in partnership with the English Table Tennis Association (who will bring Ping! to four more cities over the next two years, returning to London for 2012), Ping! London is supported by the National Lottery and aims to get more people playing sport as part of the legacy of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.<br /><br /><br /><br />Geronimo Inns is lucky enough to have a table positioned right outside their Kings Cross site, The Betjeman Arms. So stop by if you can, and remember to take part in their Ping! inspired events and games, such as 'Ping O'Clock' and 'Passport to Pingland'.

RUPERT CLEVELY - A MINUTE ON THE CLOCK

Rupert Clevely, Managing Director of Geronimo Inns was recently interviewed by Caterer & Hotelkeeper.<br /><br />An excerpt from the interview:<br />"We haven't reinvented the wheel; what we've done is go back to how pubs were run 100 years ago - serving good beer and food at reasonable prices in comfortable surroundings. Things changed because big groups came in and bastardised the industry. All we're trying to do is go back to how things were."<br /><br />Find the full interview at http://www.caterersearch.com/Articles/2010/03/19/332666/rupert-clevely-a-minute-on-the-clock.htm<br />

CAMDEN CRAWL / PRIMROSE CHILL

Some of the most hotly tipped musicians and upcoming artists will be migrating to North London for the 2010 Camden Crawl, which is kicking off on Saturday from midday and carries on through to the early hours of Monday Bank Holiday morning. In true ‘Crawl’ tradition, the full line-ups are remaining a closely guarded secret until the actual day – not that it makes that much of a difference given the number of special guests that have appeared over the years. New to this year’s event is The Primrose Chill a smaller sub-festival that’s taking place in neighbouring Primrose Hill area. The Queens, part of the Geronimo Inns group, on Regents Park Road will be part of the quartet of smaller venues taking part, and will be playing host to some stellar live acoustic acts, including The Redlands Palamino Company, Two Fingers of Firewater and Katy Lied.
